This guide will demonstrate the installation of the Firefox web browser using the nightly build and the Orca screen reader for the Gnome desktop from SVN. This is part of a series that aims to get new users up and running with Linux so that they can contact the Orca user community using the Orca live website, the Orca mailing list and the IRC chat facility.

During this recording, we build on a series of guides that help a new user to Linux with getting up and running with this alternative operating system with the aim of providing them with the tools that they will require to contact other users of the assistive technology that is built into this system such as the Orca screen reader. The majority indeviduals using the Orca screen reader for the Gnome graphical desktop for Linux have issues with the current version of PUlseAudio. This audio guide will demonstrate just one way of disabling this audio system. It should of course be noted, this is one possible method amung many. You should research the alternatives to determine the method that best suits your needs
